Anchored in Love: Why We Created a Marriage Cruise for Couples in Business & Ministry

When we launched the Anchored in Love marriage cruise in 2024, it wasn’t because we had all the answers. It was because we knew how hard it can be to work together in business or serve in ministry and keep your marriage strong. We also knew there weren’t many spaces where couples like us could grow in both love and leadership—without judgment, pressure, or performance.

So we created one.

What Is Anchored in Love?

Anchored in Love is a faith-based marriage retreat hosted on a luxury cruise ship, designed for couples who work together in business or ministry. It’s a chance to unplug, reconnect, and intentionally invest in your relationship—with the added bonus of sunshine, ocean views, community, talks on relevant topics, and resources to help you grow in your relationship.

Couples have the option to connect with other couples as much or as little as they want, making this time away whatever they need it to be.

What Makes It Different?

Unlike typical conferences or church retreats, Anchored in Love is relaxed, personalized, and flexible.

• Morning group sessions focus on marriage enrichment and vision casting.
• Afternoon breakouts are optional and tailored to your season—whether it’s blended family dynamics, running a business, or serving in ministry.
• Evenings are spent rotating dinner tables to connect with other couples—or sneaking away for a romantic date night. 

A Community, Not Just a Conference

What sets this experience apart isn’t just the format—it’s the people. Everyone on board is navigating the same unique tension: doing life, love, and leadership together. There’s immediate connection, laughter, shared struggles, and deep encouragement.

Before You Board

Each couple receives:

• A Marriage Checkup Assessment (private, for your eyes only).
• Access to our pre-cruise book club (this year’s title: Praying Circles Around Your Marriage).
• An opportunity to connect with other attendees before ever stepping on the ship.

On the last cruise, couples shared insights in short interviews in front of the group based on their relationship strengths—(ie: communication, finances, or physical intimacy.) These conversations created some of the most powerful moments of the week. Don’t worry, though! That’s completely optional and planned ahead of time, so you won’t be put on the spot.
